There goes RM300k...

RM301,900 to be exact. Yup, that's what the Defence Ministry did under the First Economic Stimulus Package. Now, i know i'm in the finance sector, but lets break it down to layman's term...

How much is RM300k?
Enough for:
1. A massive open house for the poor/orphans - Assuming a budget of RM10 per pax, you can invite and feed 30k ppl!
2. A 10kg bag of rice now cost averagely around 30-35 ringgit depending on the quality. Assuming that we are estimating on the cheapest quality of rice, RM300k can get you 10k bags of 10kg rice. That's equivalent to 100,000 kgs of rice... seriously, more than enough to feed ALOT of ppl!
3. Assuming we are gonna upgrade orphanages or old folk's home, if we are to grant RM10k each for maintenance and upgrades, RM300k can easily grant 30 of this homes a fresh new look or better living conditions.
4. Just for fun, assuming a teh tarik and a standard pack of nasi lemak cost RM5 (now that is really optimum and conservative pricing), RM300k can serve 60k sets of it.

OMG! And what is the Defence Ministry doing with it?
1) A set of chandeliers worth RM10,000
2) Home theater worth RM12,000
3) Wallpaper worth RM95,880
4) Sofa set worth RM13,000
Etc....

What the EFF??
Do they really need a RM12k home theater set? In a naval base? How about wallpapers? RM95,880 in a naval base? Damn it! My house renovation doesn't even come close to RM95k and that's including the kitchen with Ikea fittings! Chandeliers... candle light dinner for the sailors after a long hard training? Sofa set are definately imported from Italy...

Ok, they said it's for VVIP's room... but how many times in a year are they gonna visit a naval base?

SWTS!...
Open your eyes ppl!
I smell something fishy here...
Someone is splurging our hardearned money that we paid in taxes!

Booo!
