Sick Society

Seriously, our country has one of the sickest society in the world. This morning, my buddy encounter a bizarre event. On his way home, he saw an indian dude lying on the road bleeding and literally dying. Apparently, somebody pulled a prank by kicking his bike and he fell down hence, injuring himself. According to my bud, no one even stopped to help.

WTH?

OK fine, i guess they are just scared after a numerous incident involving ppl getting robbed from a staged accident. But hey... what's with the pranks?

Those idiots should really get a life!
Man, what do they get by killing that dude? Fun? Entertainment?
They really need to get a life.

Btw, hope that indian dude is ok.
God bless him.

Hope of All Hearts

Such a beautiful song by Planetshakers. It's really a blessing that they actually put it up on their Youtube channel. It'll definitely bless and touch many out there.

For sure, i'm gonna get this CD + DVD!

*thinking*... when is the next trip to Salvation bookstore gonna be?

Anyways, i do hope that this song will touch you as much as it touched me.

Hope of All Hearts
Verse 1:
The world may fade
You will remain
In the midst of the trial
You will always be, I'll sing
Our God never fails
Our God never fails

Verse 2:
With hope and light
You reign over all
Though my heart may fail
You will always be, I'll sing
Our God never fails
Our God never fails

Pre-chorus:
Praise in the morning
Praise in the evening
Praise when I'm laughing
Praise when I'm grieving
There will be dancing
There will be singing
Upon injustice we will tell of our God

Chorus:
The hope of all hearts
The hope of all hearts Is you
Your love never fails
Your love never fails

Bridge:
In darkness,
In trial, my soul shall sing
Of his mercy, and kindness
Our offering of praise
Our God never fails
Our God never fails

Halloween Party @ Ministry of Sound, Sunway Pyramid

It's the time of the year where all the witches and bitches comes of to play all night long! You guessed it right!

It's HALLOWEEN!

My best bud and I were lucky enough to be invited to this event held in Ministry of Sound (MOS-Euphoria) at Sunway Resort Hotel last night.

Honestly, the both of us were kinda disappointed. The crowd is there but the mood ain't. I hadda give MOS credits for the huge efforts in trying to psych up the mood at the club. However, the crowd apparently ain't in much of the "Halloween" mood.

Ain't halloween the ONLY time of the year where you can dress up to scare the shit out of ppl? Oh come on! Even if you don't wanna dress up like a goblin or witch, at least, put on a halloween cap or something. Can this ppl just give the host a lil respect?

Imagine yourself throwing a party with a specific dresscode and the invitees came in their casual clothings... feel it? Especially the "Ah Beng"s... wat the heck... if u ain't in the mood to party then just stay home and study damn it! Seriously... all those who dressed up casually for the event last night... you guys did a great job ruining the mood!

Damn party poopers!
*spits*

I do admire those who really dressed up for the even. Dang! I also got shocked a couple of time... some of them are damn scary! (Especially the one who dressed up like a "pontianak") Haha...

Other than that, the music was cool. DJ Patrick Oliver did a great job in putting the crowd into the mood to dance and jump. Even the DJ is wearing a halloween mask! Shame on those who din adhere to the dresscode!

Here are a few pics of the event... yeah i know, the quality sucks... come on... it's dark!
=P

Tae Yang - Wedding Dress

Damn! After watching this vid, i feel like dancing R&B again. He's really good at it!

Other than the dance, the song is very catchy too... plus the lyrics (in Korean) is kinda sad. To sum it up for those who don't understand Korean, it practically means unable to be with the one you love and having to see your loved one marrying another person instead (the vid is pretty self explainatory... duh!!). Uber sad-ness huh?
=(

Anyways...

I bumped unto this vid too, it's basically just the dance move and yeah, it's very close to the original. Some of the comments stated that this group is the actual dance crew for Tae Yang in the vid. I reserved my comments. Be the judge yourself!

Good night!

RIP Paul the Octopus

As many of you would know, Paul the octopus made headlines predicting the 7 Germany's games during the World Cup 2010.

Now, he made headlines again... he's dead! At the age of 2.5 years old.
Sad for some, not really for many.

Click on the link below for the full story.
http://sports.yahoo.com/soccer/news?slug=ap-paultheoctopusdeath

Anyways, though i ain't a big "fan" of yours... R.I.P. my 8 legged friend.

Hope you din end up on the platter... like this one.

Or else... it'll be... REST IN "PIECES"!

HEE HEE!!

Innovation?

According to this article:
http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2010/10/27/nation/7302969&sec=nation
... apparently Malaysia can generate a culture of innovation.

I'll say... yeah right!

Puh-lease!! At this current pace... not in a million years...

Now, before readers start flaming me about this, just read through my 2 cents first. Probably you'll see my rational behind this.

Conservative culture - Probably one of the biggest turn off in generating highly innovative individuals. Frankly speaking, we are one awfully quiet and conservative society. How can we stimulate our innovations within us if we can't even speak for ourselves. Moreover share our ideas out? Remember during school, whenever a teacher asked a question, how many of us really do dare to answer or even to correct a teacher's mistake? And if you realized, those that dared to ask or correct are those who excelled in their studies. And where are they now? Overseas... period.

Open mindedness - Sadly, we have one of the most narrow-minded society. This is closely related to "conservative culture". When we are in a conservative society, we tend to be less open minded about things. Hence, it'll discourage young minds from expanding and venture into creativity and innovation. Look at the ppl in the United States. They are free to do and voice out whatever they wish to. Though it might be a double edged sword, but at least it's giving the mind a chance to expand it's horizons.

Guts - We simply don't have enough balls to take things into another level. They are many with wonderful ideas, may it be a business model or invention, but when it comes to the real deal, most of us just simply shrug it away because we are afraid of being laughed and ridiculed at.

Now, i can keep going on about this but heys... i dun wan to bored you all with my rants...
Just think about it a lil by yourself.
We simply ain't ready enough!
We NEED more awareness!

There goes RM300k...

RM301,900 to be exact. Yup, that's what the Defence Ministry did under the First Economic Stimulus Package. Now, i know i'm in the finance sector, but lets break it down to layman's term...

How much is RM300k?
Enough for:
1. A massive open house for the poor/orphans - Assuming a budget of RM10 per pax, you can invite and feed 30k ppl!
2. A 10kg bag of rice now cost averagely around 30-35 ringgit depending on the quality. Assuming that we are estimating on the cheapest quality of rice, RM300k can get you 10k bags of 10kg rice. That's equivalent to 100,000 kgs of rice... seriously, more than enough to feed ALOT of ppl!
3. Assuming we are gonna upgrade orphanages or old folk's home, if we are to grant RM10k each for maintenance and upgrades, RM300k can easily grant 30 of this homes a fresh new look or better living conditions.
4. Just for fun, assuming a teh tarik and a standard pack of nasi lemak cost RM5 (now that is really optimum and conservative pricing), RM300k can serve 60k sets of it.

OMG! And what is the Defence Ministry doing with it?
1) A set of chandeliers worth RM10,000
2) Home theater worth RM12,000
3) Wallpaper worth RM95,880
4) Sofa set worth RM13,000
Etc....

What the EFF??
Do they really need a RM12k home theater set? In a naval base? How about wallpapers? RM95,880 in a naval base? Damn it! My house renovation doesn't even come close to RM95k and that's including the kitchen with Ikea fittings! Chandeliers... candle light dinner for the sailors after a long hard training? Sofa set are definately imported from Italy...

Ok, they said it's for VVIP's room... but how many times in a year are they gonna visit a naval base?

SWTS!...
Open your eyes ppl!
I smell something fishy here...
Someone is splurging our hardearned money that we paid in taxes!

Booo!

Go check out the complete scoop~!

Luminary - Amsterdam (Super8 & Tab Remix)

Bidding the world goodnight with this awesome track.

Budget 2011

I couldn't help posting this on my blog.
It's written by a dude named Syek Akhbar Ali.
Just as i was hammering on the new Budget 2011 a couple of days back, my fren forwarded this to me thru email and i couldn't stop laughing!

Anyways, here's the article. (i know... the grammar is a lil bit misaligned. Hope you don't mind it!)

The 2011 Budget

By Syed Akbar Ali
Hot news versus one week later analysis. Well when sometime has passed we get more hindsight and more 'analysis paralysis'. I am just rounding it up and putting my two cents worth about the Budget 2011. Today the Plus folks reveal that the five year postponement of toll hikes simply means that the Government has to pay Plus RM5.0 billion compensation. Plus the RM2.5 bilion unpaid compensation still owing to Plus by the Government, that is RM7.5 Billion of taxpayers’ funds. That is simply leaving money in the right pocket and paying taxpayers money to Plus from the left pocket. Apa beza sangat ?

There are adventurous ideas like building an RM5 billion 100-storey Warisan Merdeka by PNB. The PM said yesterday, somewhere, that the 100 floors of this building will fill up with offices and businesses, implying the 100 storey building means jobs and humming businesses. Well it does not work that way. Assuming each floor has a minimum of 100 occupants, the 100 storey building will house 10,000 people. These 10,000 people must already have successful businesses before they can move in and pay the rent in a 100 storey “Malaysia’s tallest building”. You cannot build a 100 storey building which will magically create successful businesses to become its tenants. I guess what will happen is that PNB will arm twist all the GLCs under its wing to take up space at the 100 storey Warisan Merdeka.

There is precedent because this is what UEM(?), MRCB(?) had to do to fill up the Sentral Project in Brickfields. Ask the GLCs and Government departments to move into Sentral. Wouldn’t 1MDB’s Sg Besi redevelopment, Naza’s Jalan Duta redevelopment and all the other Greater Kuala Lumpur skyscrapers also be clamoring for the same GLCs and the same Government departments to fill up their empty spaces? So please plan well.

Then the PM’s wife’s pet project the Permata program has been given another RM111 of taxpayers’ money – three times the RM36 million given last year. Last year the Prime Minister said there were 900 “anak pintar”. So do we have three times more anak pintar kids this year? Number of children is a biological function. You cannot triple ‘pintar kids’ in one year. Todate the total amount spent on the Pintar program is over RM176 million – which works out to RM195,500 spent per pintar kid so far. That’s more than degree at a private university. OK let me ask a simple question : how are the Pintar kids doing? Folks our money is being spent. So how are the Pintar kids doing? Do you all recall the Monsoon Cup?

Critics have also pointed out an allocation of RM65 million to renovate the Prime Minister’s residence. The question is why? It’s still a new house, made of concrete and steel. Why renovate a new house? And why cost so much?

The good part in the Budget are the incentives for home buyers. A 4 percent interest rate for a maximum of RM60,000 for low cost houses, government guaranteed down payments of 10 percent for houses below RM220,000 for first time buyers earning less that RM3000 a month, and 50 percent stamp duty exemption for first-time house buyers of houses not exceeding RM350,000 is just great. Helping folks financially with the 10% house deposit for huses below RM220,000 is just awesome.

This will help more Malays and other lower income folks own houses (this is a real problem lah). Kudos to whoever managed to slip this gem into the Budget. I take it that this also means that the banks can still lend 90% loans for the remainder purchase price? Syabas. Lets increase house ownership – it will lead to economic growth.

Abolishing import duty on approximately 300 items like apparel, handbags, shoes, shampoo, suits, children’s apparel, wallets, hair colourants, golf balls, imitation jewellery, talcum powder, curtains, table cloth, blankets, bed sheets, shirts, undergarments, lingerie, nightwear, perfumes and mosquito netting (?) is great.
Please include cars and motorbikes in the list too.

I agree with Dr Mahathir that the Employees Provident Funds should be careful with investing 20 percent of its assets overseas (from 7% now). On the one hand we want foreign investment. On the other hand we are sending out our money by the shiploads. What gives? Please don’t buy shopping malls overseas ok. Want to play safe buy OECD Government securities. If it is Greek, discount heavily first.

The Auditor General’s Report has been postponed. Do you share the feeling that there is going to be some embarrassing news? FMT has written about the 2006 Auditor-General’s Report “about a RM32 screwdriver set bought for RM224, a RM160 pen for RM1,146, and a RM50 carjack for RM5,700? …more shocking RM290 million spent by the Customs Department for an outdated user-hostile information system.”

This is the sin of our system for the past 40 years, we do not pay market prices. We always overpay and get less. It is not just bad for us the taxpayers but it is worse for the businesses, the entrepreneurs and the economy. Easy money has made us non competitive and condemned us to the wheel chair.
One Taikor said “the Government pays three times more fo everything anyway”. That is three time market price. The 2011 Budget totals RM212 Billion. There is plenty of fat inside I am sure. Looking at past Auditor-General’s Reports and what the Taikor said, we can achieve what we want to achieve for 2011 using maybe just one third of the amount or RM70 Billion only.

The remainder RM142 Billion will be used to make nails in our coffin, by making easy money GLCs, easy money cronies and other easy money addicts uncompetitive, lazy and handout driven. No need to be innovative, creative, work hard or be bold.

The 2011 Budget also says that “Private Sector Investment” will increase to RM86 Billion. There is some ‘pulling the wool over the eyes’ going on here. The businesses that I run are 100% private sector. The Government never asked me how much I will be investing over 2011. Even if they did, how does my “private sector investment” become part of the Government’s Budget Planning?

What is meant by “private sector investment” actually means spending by the GLCs. That is taxpayer’s money ok, it is NOT private sector investment. For example the Government has Guaranteed 1MDB’s RM5.0 billion Bond issue (that’s taxpayers money folks).
i. The Kuala Lumpur International Financial District valued at RM26 billion.
ii. The Mass Rapid Transit in Greater KL costing RM40 billion (targeted 2020).
iii. the Warisan Merdeka 100-storey tower valued at RM5 billion
So I hope someone will advise the Prime Minister not to keep repeating Private Sector Financing (do you notice that they have dropped that other misnomer “Private Finance Initiative”?) There is no such thing. The taxpayer’s will be paying for everything.

Other than the 100 storey Warisan Merdeka, there are a couple of other dicey suggestions which have slipped under the radar. One is the RM3.0 billion resort developmet in Karambunai. “Najib said Nexus Karambunai, a renowned resort in Sabah, had committed to developing an integrated RM3bil eco-nature resort, the first in the world, by leveraging on its natural beauty and uniqueness.”

The Government will “give” RM100.0 million. Hah? What do you mean by “give”? Let me guess, the balance RM2.9 billion is “private sector financing”? I find this very hard to accept. I suspect taxpayer’s money will be involved again. Somehow I smell fish here. RM3.0 billion for a resort? In Sabah? I say bro, RM30.0 million tak boleh ke?

Here is some Standard Two calculation to get the Pay Back period. Pay Back period represents the number of years for a business to generate net profit to payback the total money invested in the project. Say the Karambunai Eco Resort will have 500 rooms. Say it is 5 star and room rates average RM500 per day (well lets assume the Mubadalla guys from Abu Dhabi will stay there).
Assuming 80% occupancy the whole year (I am being very very optimistic) the calculation is like this : 500 rooms x 80% x 365 days x RM500 = RM73.0 million revenue. Taking 30% "net profit" (a very very optimistic assumption again), net profit will be = RM22.0 million.
So Pay Back Period = RM3.0 billion / RM22.0 million = 136 years ! ! It will be 136 years before they can recover the investment. (Usually most viable businesses have a payback period of 6 - 12 years)
Lets give them even more optimistic scenarios. Lets double the room rates to RM1000 per day (OK lah the Emir of Abu Dhabi may come calling too). At double the net profit, the Pay Back period will be halved ie 68 years. This is still too far fetched.

Here is some more Darjah Dua arithmetic. Say the cost of construction is RM100 psf. It means RM3.0 billion will buy us 3.0 million square feet of resort space in Karambunai. For your imagination and comparison, the Mid Valley Mega Mall has 4.5 million sq ft of space.

Here is some trivia about the Mid Valley Megamall
4.5 million square feet (420,000 m²), a shopping mall, an office tower block, 30 signature offices and 2 hotels, 430 shops on five and a half floors, five anchor tenants; Carrefour, Jusco, Golden Screen Cinemas, Metrojaya and Harvey Norman, an 18 screen Cinema, a state-of-the-art bowling centre, two mega food courts, a 48,300 square foot (4,500 m²) convention centre, a 646 room business hotel named Cititel.

I know a resort and a shopping mall are not like “apples and apples” but RM3.0 billion for an eco resort? Shouldn’t it be the case that in an “eco” resort you must preserve the greenery with minimum cutting and covering with concrete. RM3.0 billion sounds way too much. Sinkhole comes to mind.

The other ‘blackhole’ that should be on our radar is the Talent Corporation. Even the name Talent Corporation sounds like some Las Vegas adult entertainment “talent hunting” company. There was no mention of the amount to be given to this Talent Hunters but I think it is a ripoff of taxpayers funds.
The plan to get back 70,000 Malaysians working overseas is ridiculous. Even getting back 10% of this figure or 7000 of them is ridiculous. Most of them are non Malays who have left the shores for greener pastures overseas. Why would they come back? And if they come back, where would the Talent Corporation place them? Can the Talent Corporation go to IOI Corporation or Gleneagles Medical Center and say ‘we have found this guy who is earning USD30,000 a month overseas. Can you give him a job for RM150,000 a month?’
Its not going to happen. The only alternative is to find them places in the GLCs. I don’t think this will happen either.

So what gives? The fun will be in the “talent hunt”. Whoever the clever beggar “con” sultant or sub-contractor who thought up this idea and slipped it between the sheets is going to make tons of money undertaking the “hunt”. Whether they bag any birds is not relevant. The fun (and the money to be made) is in the hunt. No need to head to the Las Vegas “one armed bandits”. The stick up can be done here. ‘Stick ‘em up’.

Salam.

Lolz... it's a bit long, but it's worth reading it thru!

Sunway Family Day 2010

My company is throwing an event this coming sunday, 24th October 2010. It's the annual Family Day~! As a tradition, it's held every time at non other than our "beloved" Sunway Lagoon!

So yeah, i got an extra tic and i'll be bringing my best bud there. So, stay tune for photos!

Going Crazy

What happens when you had too much work, too much pressure, too many datelines, too much coffee and a couple of fruits?

Think i'm going crazy...

Sick

Don't you just hate being sick?

Yeah, I had been down with a flu and fever for 2 days straight.
I tell you, it ain't fun.
=(

Despite the fact that i'm sick, i still hadda drag my heavy ass to work. Well, you know, it's peak period again and i can't afford to waste a single day. It's actually due to a few reasons:

1. Datelines... uber tight datelines. If i can't meet it, then it's my "dead"line.

2. Culture... over here, no one gives a damn whether u are dead or alive. Work is work. It's not like your other colleagues are gonna lend u a helping hand should you be sick or on leave. Just a day you are not in office, that's it. The work will be "carried forward" til you are back. "Cool" huh?

And...

3. Management... they don't care how it's done. If they want something, be prepared to give them that something, FAST!

So yeah, now you see how wonderful my working life is.

Btw, it's weekend tomorrow and i hadda freakin work!
Dang it!

I need a hot nurse...

Hee hee...

Dash Berlin - Waiting ft. Emma Hewitt (Sean Tyas Remix)

Seriously, this song gives me multiple ear-orgasms! It really makes ur ears jizz especially during the awesome breakdown!

Jizz~

Good night world~!
=)

I'm leaving on a jet plane...

Well, not really...
Not yet. Though i wished i could now...

Honestly, my fire and desire to work for the current company i'm in now has been totally extinguished. There are a couple of factors to why i'm feeling so right now.

1) Promotion rate is too darn slow.
Seriously, it's ridiculously absurd. Promotion is once every 3 years. Every T-H-R-E-E years! OMG! Ain't that stupid? Do they really expect me to work for 30 years only to be a CFO? Dream on...!

2) Underpay!
With the experience i have under my belt now, i should be getting 1.5x to twice of what i'm getting now! But nope. Not here... the salary payout scheme is still based on a survey conducted 10 years ago... that's freaking T-E-N!
Take for example, a fresh grad in the current market is averagely getting around RM2.4k. Not in this company though. Fresh grad is still paid a whimsy RM1.8k which is almost equivalent to a fresh grad 8 years back!

3) Screwed up management
This is the first time i come across a management that doesn't promote internally when there's a vacancy. They rather source externally! A really good fren and colleague of mine had been working here for quite some time. Her performance is also quite good. But then again,
i'm disappointed that they insist not to promote her though she's a good staff. In a way, it shows how much the management is appreciating their "staffs" indirectly. Good! Keep up the good job! S***** boleh!

Anyways, i'm in the midst of searching for greener pastures. Somewhere faraway... At the moment, i'm looking for jobs in Singapore but my ideal place would be the United States. As i've mentioned in my earlier post... i really do miss the US aLOT!

*sad*

Honestly, some might ask... "are you going there because of the favorable currency exchange rate?"
Hell no!
Though money is important, but the thing that i'm seeking for is better living condition and better standard of living.
That's what i mean by greener pastures.
*winks*

It's been a while since i started applying for oversea jobs and it's kinda discouraging cause there ain't much response so far.
But i'm not giving up yet! I'm pretty much determined.
I just wanna leave this country!
Let me rephrase, I NEED to leave this country!

Well, i'm still praying hard about this... and hopefully God will open a door for me soon.

If i had only 48 hours to live...

A good fren of mine asked me this question today.
"Kenneth, what are the things that you'll do should you realise that this is the last 48hrs of your life?"
Seriously, i was dumbfounded.
I heard this question a trillion times but i didn't really put much of a thought to it.

Hence, let me quote my friend's answer...

Since i don't have commitments other than my mom and dad this is what i planned to do.

0000 - 0130 - Go back Seremban
0130 - 0800 - Spend time with parents and explain to them my last wish
0800 - 1000 - Go to the airport and get the earliest flight to Los Angeles, US
1000 - 3000 - Journey to Los Angeles
3000 - 3200 - Look for my dream girl and explain to her my dire situation
3200 - 4800 - Be in the arms of my dream girl till my clock stops ticking

Some might think that this is ridiculous, while some will say it is sweet.
Well, I'm neutral. Most probably because i'm numb about this matters at the moment as my work is eating me from the inside out.
=(
Oh well... i should probably start thinking about this thoroughly.

So....
If YOU had only 48 hours to live what would you do?

Hurry!! The clock is ticking!!

p.s - until now i still dunno who's my fren's dream girl... so, don't bother asking me.

Arty - Twilight Tonight (Arty Remode)

Damn... this song made my ears jizz.

This song so totally addictive!
The whole song... though the lyrics is just a word but the progression, the solid kicks, the melody and the rhythm all falls into place just like a masterpiece!

Now this is QUALITY trance for your soul~!

p.s - the audio quality in youtube sucks... go get the HQ audio from iTune... just click here.

Waiting for the end

After hearing this song on the radio, i just came to know that Linkin Park has released a brand new album not too long ago. Honestly, I feel so outdated in the music scene. Guess i need to do a lot of catching up. So, lets catch up together!
Debuted on the 8th September 2010, "A Thousand Suns" is Linkin Park's 4th album. So far i've only listen one of its song, "Waiting for the end"... i tell you, it OWNS!

Neat stuff huh?

For sure, i'm gonna get their album. Initially i thought of downloading thru iTunes, but hecks... since i got their previous 3 albums... why not get the 4th and hold a collection? So ppl, go out and grab yourself their latest album NOW!

A real minimalist album cover

I'll make a review of it once i get my hands on the album. Till then, stay tuned!

Starbucks

It's already 5.30pm and Starbucks at The Curve, Mutiara Damansara is still packed with ppl!

Guess its probably the crowd from One Utama nearby as that mall is currently undergoing a major renovation process. Many of the shops there are closed for a month or so due to the renovation. Hence, it's the most probable thing that they come to The Curve which is just right next door.

A guy was fined RM100 because he forgot to close his apartment door while lying on the floor naked and a malay b^#$% happened to pass by and saw his weeners.
This is dumb!
Why fine him?
Fine the damn weather!

Hallelujah...

A beautiful rendition of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" by Jeff Buckley.

Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah (Official Music Video). Watch more top selected videos about: Jeff Buckley

Ain't the song just beautiful?

Sounds familiar? It's because you'll hear this song when you watch the animated movie Shrek. Though it is sung by John Cale and not Jeff Buckley, the lyrics is still haunting.

The song is about love which has soured and gone stale. Cohen used a lot of religious imagery, including references to some of the more notorious women in the bible. Here's some lyrical analysis:
"You saw her bathing on the roof, her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you" - Bathsheba, who tempted the king to kill her husband so he could have her.
"She tied you to her kitchen chair, she broke your throne and she cut your hair" - Delilah, who cut off Sampson's locks that held his superhuman strength.
"But remember when I moved in you and the holy dove was moving too" - This could be a reference to the divine conception and Mary.
The lines referring to the immaculate conception can also be interpreted as having a sexual connotation: "And every breath we drew was hallelujah."

"Hallelujah is a Hebrew word which means 'Glory to the Lord.' The song explains that many kinds of Hallelujahs do exist. I say: All the perfect and broken Hallelujahs have an equal value. It's a desire to affirm my faith in life, not in some formal religious way but with enthusiasm, with emotion."
- Roderick - Qingdao, China -

"The fourth, the fifth, the minor fall and the major lift," to which the chords played are: F - G - Am - F:
It is clever the way that not only the chords line up in the lyrics and in the music, but also because the connotations themselves of "major" and "minor" add to the meaning of the song. The "fourth" is a major chord based on the fourth of the key Buckley is playing in. Likewise the fifth is the major chord based on the fifth tone of the key. The "Minor Fall" corresponds to Buckley playing a minor chord based on the sixth of the key. "Major Lift" corresponds to playing the major chord on the fourth again

Now, for those who haven't watch Shrek...

my advice is...

you SHOULD!

Oh yeah, be sure to catch all four installments of it including the last and latest sequel, "Shrek Forever After" which was debuted earlier this year.

Seriously, it's a cool movie.

My favorite character?
It's non other than...

PUSS IN BOOTS~!
(He only appears in and after the second installment - Shrek 2)

p.s - Rest in Peace Jeff Buckley. Though it's already 13 years that you have left us, may you continue to sing beautiful music unto the Lord up in Heaven.

MCD rocks!

Did you know, that McD offers one of the best "radio channel" in town? Seriously, it's awesome. Most of the songs that they put on air, it's not really well known, but the rhythm and melody is damn tight!

The songs usually falls in the genre of R&B and alternative rock.

As for today, these 2 songs are the most "ear"catching...

Boyce Avenue - Every Breath

Secondhand Serenade - Something More

Awesome much?

For me as a person who can't live a single day without music, are really caught by surprised upon listening to some of the "not so" famous songs.
Dang!
Some singers/bands are just too good!

Now, where's the problem coming from?
*thinks*
*thinks longer*
I can bet with you... it's our country's exposure to foreign music. Not much publicity and advertisement/promotions are done for them. That's really pathetic.

Malaysia "Boleh"!

Sigh...

What's that? UFO?

Oh snap!
UFO spotted over Manhattan!

This photo was taken by Jason Diamond. He is not the only one who witness this phenomenon. Many others did too.

Check out the scoop below!

You can find this vid too in the web above.

Believe it or not?

Come to think of it... Malaysia did have its UFO sightings too. Click on the link below for all the reported sightings in UFOEvidence.org. Quite informative i should say.

GTA

Check this out... I found it on the web and it's really whacked!

Grand Theft Auto.. Somalia style... coming soon to a PS2 near you. (PS3 compatible)
Hilarious much?

Glambert in Kuala Lumpur

Oh yeah! 2nd place winner of American Idol season 8 Adam Lambert is HERE!

He's here to bring down KL with his music! Though i'm not a huge fan of his, but i had listened to some of his songs... man, they pwn~! Seriously, his rendition of No Boundaries is way better than Kris Allen's.

Anyways, this post is not about him. It's about our beloved Central Agency for Application for Filming and Performance by Foreign Artistes (PUSPAL). Apparently, they set tons and tons of conditions for this star to perform in this country. Even more surprised is that Adam has accepted it!

Gosh... this is whacked! If i were him, i won't even bother coming to this pathetic country. Sorry to those Glambert fans out there but heys... can't "some" people just understand wat the hell is ENTERTAINMENT?

First of all, we should be honoured that he's willing to come all the way here just to throw a concert for his fans. What's with all this conditions?
So what if he's gay?
So what if he tears his shirt into bits during performance?
So what if he kisses a male musician?

Man... this is solely entertainment! Dammit!
Might as well "they" go ban all the foreign movies cause there are kissing scenes as it might provoke underage sex due to sexual arousement from kissing.
Shit!
"Some" people here just have nothing better to do.

Way to go!
Malaysia TRULY "boleh"!

Anyways, click on the link below for the inside scoop:

Wrong Side of The Bed

Ever experienced waking up on the wrong side of the bed? Well, i did and honestly, i was really moody the whole damn day.

Reasons... unknown.

or maybe not...

Prolly it's just that i really do miss United States a lot...
:(
Last night, a good fren of mine called me up at 3am (dammit!!) and asked me whether or not i'm interested in joining his "crusade" in search of a job and better prospect in the United States.
Well, I guessed that triggered my "Missed US a lot" button.

Well, for those who didn't know, I was raised up in the United States.
Ahh... New York City, better known as the Big Apple!
I was there from Grade 1 to Grade 4 (equivalent to Standard 1 to Standard 4 here in M'sia). I still remember the name of the elementary school i attended.

P.S 152 Gwendoline N. Alleyne, Woodside, New York City.

Gosh... it's been ages and i missed every damn thing about New York!
Dammit!

I missed the suburbans...I missed the culture...
I missed Chinatown...
I missed my frens...
I missed the hustle and bustle of Manhattan Island...
I missed the neighbourhood...
I missed the subways...
I missed the air there...
I missed the good food...
I missed Taco BELL!!!!
And I missed EVERYTHING...

How i wished i haven't come back to this lousy country of mine.
How i wished i've further my studies in the United States instead.
And
HOW I WISHED I'M STILL IN THE UNITED STATES RIGHT NOW!!!
Gahhhh...
I'm so emo-ish today...
FML.
